Our daughter just went on her first girly outing with her mother, and I think I am in for a long 18 plus years…

So, it looks as if our search for a place to live is over! Not because we are content with being homeless, but because God is working. We had hoped for our housing situation to be settled long ago. Two of our huge requests have been: 1) relatively inexpensive so that we could continue to give above our tithes to Cinema Church, and 2) to be in a neighborhood/area where we could somehow make an impact.
If it was up to me and my timing we would be living somewhere that we could call our own long before now. BUT, it wouldn’t have been inexpensive, and it wouldn’t have had the opportunity for impact that we are expecting. So, I guess God’s timing is better than mine!!!
There is so much more I want to say about this. Trust me I’m having a hard time keeping my mouth shut. More details may come soon….especially maybe possibly if you are at Cinema Church Sunday.
Until then, God has opened so many doors, but there is still one that needs to be opened. We continue to pray and wait, sometimes patiently, sometimes not so much. And we continue to trust that God will lead us to the perfect place. Maybe this is it? Would you join us in praying for this one remaining minor obstacle to be taken care of today in His timing.

Today, I have been married to my beautiful bride for 10 YEARS!
I can’t believe she married me, never mind stayed with me for 10 years. WOW!!!
I wanted to tell the world how much I love Rachel. I thought about making a video. I could put that video on a website. I could then get a tattoo of that website address. My next step would be to run naked up and down main street until I got arrested. I figure this is probably a good way to get the world to check out my website, and thus give me the opportunity to tell the world that I love Rachel.
However, things are better than they have ever been. With that said I figure she would want me to come home tonight (as opposed to jail). I guess this idea will have to wait.
So, if I cant tell the world, I might as well tell my world. For all of you who read this blog…

You are 1 now…before I know it you will have some questions. I want to answer some of those for you before you even ask…
What if a friend lets you down, or makes you cry…
I will pull her hair out
What if a boy breaks your heart
I will break his neck
What if a boy makes you laugh
I will be hiding right behind you (don’t even think about holding his hand)
When can I start dating
Maybe when you are 40
Why does dad have a gun
That was a gift to myself on your first birthday (in case any of the above need enforcing)
If you do something stupid
I will be disappointed, but only because I think the best of you
If you do something stupid
I will lecture you, but only because I want you to be the best
If you do something stupid
I will always forgive you
If you do something stupid
I will never stop loving you
If you need anything
I will always find a way to make it happen
If you want anything
I would love to give it to you, but I also don’t want to spoil you (too much)
If you wonder what the future holds for you
You will be perfect in every way, just like your mother
If you ever wonder
Yes, I do love you that much
If you ever doubt
DON’T!
Happy 1st Birthday!!!
Would you rather make a point or build a bridge?
For way too much of my life I have probably made a point AND BURNT BRIDGES! I hope those days are soon over. Here are some quotes from my favorite Book that are hopefully helping me…
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.
Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
My son just rolled over, woke up, leaned into my ear and whispered…”hi dad” and I remember the REALLY important things in life. Im glad that today I chose to forgive and build bridges…my life is better this way.
You are teaching me to slow down
You are teaching me to enjoy the journey
You are teaching me to laugh
You are teaching me to laugh a lot
You are teaching me to laugh with my mouth wide open
You are teaching me to enjoy the little things
You are teaching me to enjoy life
You are teaching me that no matter what I am the most blessed person in the world
Thank you, my little man
Well, yesterday was mothers day! Hope that you all had a great day.
Yesterday, as I was going through thousands of photos of the kids for one of Rachel’s gifts, I came across the photos of Aidan and Cameron’s first days. It brought back memories of just how scary those moments were! Literally every single emotion all happening at once. From excitement to shock, from joy to scared, from nervous to anxious…and tons of emotions in between.
Here is what each looked like at just under 1 day old.
That’s Aidan on the left (photo on my lovely Apple computer screen) and Cameron on the right.
Here is Cameron’s first day home!
You did great Rachel, and I know you will continue to be an awesome mom!

Aidan and dad: going to New England Cycle Center to look at bikes and get some parts for our four wheelers.
Dad: notices Aidans head is down and wonders…is he OK? Is he sleeping?
Dad: “Aidan are you ok?”
Aidan: “mhmm”
Dad: “what are you staring at?”
Aidan: “just my boogie…I put it on mine car seat”
Dad: “good boy”
He is 100% boy all of the time. I love this kid. If I could pick, this is how I would have chosen my son to be. His skill set and personality is off the chart! Makes me think of this verse. It is amazing how God blesses.
I love my little girl too. Nothing fills my heart more than when I walk in a room and she sees me and her legs and arms start flailing wildly. She has me wrapped around her finger. There is nothing I wouldn’t do for her or give to her. Makes me think of this verse.

Joann just sent this to me:
“Aidan and I are looking at 4 wheeler and monster truck pics on google, and this picture he told me
‘daddy has this one’”.

I love that kid!
